Same here in Sweden.Probably a misunderstanding then, in my country the word is the same to designate my sister's husband and also my wife's brother. Welcome to France![]()

The 2 things you folks were discussing aren't mutually exclusive, they can happen at the same time.Yes, being the developer of the game here must feel a bit like buying 100 Bitcoin for 100 dollars 15 years ago and still owning them today![]()
It's what he has said during his Q&As. This is basically his dream game he wanted to make for years but never thought he would get a chance to make. Are these inside views from the developer's head or is this just a theory on your part, or is it the same thing? ;-) No honestly sounds very idealistic.
It's not a beta, he releases episodes of the game. Every episode is a finished product. With betas, they add and change things later on but when he releases an episode, it's done. It's crazy what some people pay for a beta these days.
(short of likes)Same here in Sweden.
In general comparing VNs to $50 videogames is never going to work, the closest one might get to it is by looking at some indie games on Itch.io (or what used to be Desura), but if you ever followed them you'd know how long those would take to develop. It's what he has said during his Q&As. Also, if nobody had supported him, Being a DIK would never have existed.
I think DPC can afford folks but he just don't wanna.Any other and faster development process requires more folks, and folks are a cost.
I wonder if that decision is in any way going to influence Elena's behavior towards fuckface if you know what I mean...Mine's not so fervid so I'll provide something else

Also I legit would like to hang out with Elena in real life.![]()
Folks are a cost, and to hire folks you don't just need money: you need to be a charismatic person with management skills. In general comparing VNs to $50 videogames is never going to work, the closest one might get to it is by looking at some indie games on Itch.io (or what used to be Desura), but if you ever followed them you'd know how long those would take to develop.

I don't know and never interacted with him, but just my silly 2centsI think DPC can afford folks but he just don't wanna.
than he wont be your brother in law. he have to be the brother to your wife to be your brother in law.
so, you can go, you can have Jojo's sister and be happy with her.![]()
Yeah, he wouldn't be your inlaw, he'd be your outlaw, which could quite possibly be worse.Probably a misunderstanding then, in my country the word is the same to designate my sister's husband and also my wife's brother. Welcome to France
That said, I didn't know there was a different way to design it in English. Thanks for letting me know.
And when you're going on a trip, you can fold her into a suitcase so you don't have to buy another ticketIf that was her real stomach, think of the positions we could try out. We'd finish the Kama Sutra in a couple of days.

To be fair the art of delegating is either innate or very hard to master, first trick is to pick the right folks from the get go (which is a challange on its own).Folks are a cost, and to hire folks you don't just need money: you need to be a charismatic person with management skills.
You need to be willing to delegate, and thus to accept that nobody in the world is going to do something in the exact same way you would have done it.
Let's say that DPC has many other qualities...
The funny thing is DPC keeps complaining about how he doesn't want to share previews because of the spoilers, but he spoiled every single big lewd scenes for MGs with those Steam previews![]()
This is basically it. He has a vision, he enjoys the work and wants to do it himself.I think DPC can afford folks but he just don't wanna.
Time is also a cost. Most often you pay for time. DPC wouldn't have time or money to make a game like Being a DIK without support. Sure, now he has enough money but people chose to continue to support him, nobody forces them.Folks are a cost, and to hire folks you don't just need money: you need to be a charismatic person with management skills.

Very true.I don't know and never interacted with him, but just my silly 2cents
All this to say, nobody forces anyone to pay for DPCs development time (patreon, etc..) the proof is that we are on this site which besides marketing (important) doesn't provide any direct benefit to him.
- The cost of competent people can be staggering.
- If you don't get competent people the quality will decrese exponentially the more you add to the project.
- Delegating part of your creative process can be good, but also removes a lot of agency on your own project, some understandably don't like it.
All it takes is to be patient, or not and move on.
Actually, sister/brother's husband/wife is also in-law.inlaw

Personally it took me decades to learn how to properly delegate, and only did it due to "circumstances". like it's impossible to run a big team without being able to delegate, then you realize that spending evenings and weekends working on something someone else would be able to do better than sleep deprived you...
Sorry went again personal.
Yeah, I don't think anybody was surprised that the main girls would have lewd scenes. Unless you hope for a lack of scenes.

Exactly. That's the point. He has support.
So he can be a solo player. Why would he accept the inevitable compromises that come with a team if he has the resources to do it his way?![]()
